It’s here, the last day of Absa Cape Epic 2022. Our athletes have been fighting through rocks, mud, dust, and extreme heat for eight days, and they are still ready to give it all in the Grand Finale! STAGE 7
The grand finale took our athletes towards Stellenbosch’s most famous farms, including Rustenberg, Morgenhof, Muratie and Babylonstoren.
In the beginning its all uphill, climbing through Rustenberg and onto the Simonsberg Trails before the routh heads north. Lasty our athletes has a last chance to empty their tank as they race through Val de Vie’s “the Valley of Life” estate singletracks, then it’s onto the polo fields and under the Absa Cape Epic’s arches and through the final finish line.

Team Speed Company Racing with Georg EGGER and Lukas BAUM took the win with an impressive total time of 27:44:06.5.
Team Canyon Northwave MTB with Andreas SEEWALD and Martin STOŠEK took second place with 27:47:09.0
Third place went to Team Toyota-NinetyOne-Specialized with Matthew BEERS and Christopher BLEVINS with a time of 27:54:45.0

first place was taken team NinetyOne-Songo-Specialized with Haley BATTEN and Sofia GOMEZ VILLAFANE with a time of 33:41:11.3
Second place by team Faces Rola with Candice LILL and Mariske STRAUSS, 33:53:43.3.
Third place by BMC MTB Racing Pauline FERRAND PRÉVOT and Robyn DE GROOT with a time of 34:28:17.3
